spent another day of my life thrashing the water at witton castle this time not a bite not a pull nowt it cant be as hard as i make it look ???? had this one buzzer every time i put it on trout came to it then turned away do you think the fish can see my line 4lb b,s, but apart from that still had a good day . jamcod

hi there jamcod, caught nowt thats like me shore fishing thro winter you get used to it,i think it used to have a reputation for big trout in there years ago dont know about now,would love to try for the sea trout/wild brown trout and salmon just keep on trying thats all you can do

I have blanked more times than I care to remember. I have fished witton twice in the last two months, pre to that, Ilast fishid it in 1982.
Perseverence lads, thats all I can say.
Ask the bailliff what they are taking, ask other anglers. and keep trying.
