Arrived at Tweedale yesterday morning at approx 08:30 to be greeted with a bright sky and very little movement on the water.
Set up with an intermediate line and a team of 3 buzzers (buzzers had caught the previous day) all plain black, after 30 mins or so the rod was nearly pulled out of my hand, what a take. After playing the fish a nice 5 pounder came to the net.
I decided to try Richards fly's ( posted previously ) I had a couple of offers but nothing stuck.
The afternoon brought some cloud cover and fish started to show, put the buzzers back on and duly caught by 3 fish bag for a total of 13lbs.
Tried Richards flies again and all hell let loose, 6 casts, 6 fish, all on his Dinky Do pattern, I then removed his flies and tried other patterns and only got limited success.
Richards flies went back on and it was pandimonium, what a pattern, this fly should carry a serious fish Health Warning.
Anyway guys, had a cracking day on a cracking fishery and can't wait for my next trip.
Just a little thank you to Richard, cheers mate.
