Well the quarry is private i think, its used by a fishing club aswell, but as long as you have a license then they'll let you fish on it and it is very very very rare that the lake warden comes around, it doesnt cost anything to fish on there either.

and there is plenty of fish there. there is chub, some carp, perch, roach, bream, gudgeon, tench ( some decent 5 pounders ), some people are even saying trout but im not 2 sure about that one myself and theres also rudds aswell..theres probably other spiecies in there that i havent caught but im not sure.

but it is a nice lake to fish, nice and quiet plus some nice wildlife some new canadian geese have just be placed there

Henda I have just received an Email from someone who informs me that it is not free to fish here mate.

Here is a page from their website.

          Henda, two points.

First of all the two fish you are holding are not roach they are both rudd.

Secondly the lakeside angling club have the rights to the fishing on the lake.

You can join the club at the club meetings which are held in the Lakeside pub the second wednesday of every month.

Its only £13 for senior membership.
If people think you are an idiot, why speak and remove all doubt !

Cheer's for that Terry, hence my post above mate. Wouldn't like the people that run the Lakeside Angling Club to read this and think we were sending people there to fish for free when they can not.
