Will be giving its Babtism at Derwent on Saturday, I will let you know how it performs.
Thanks again for the flies Daren, my appologies, I thought I had let you know that I had received them.
Old age must be taken its toll faster than I think, I'll have to pop down to the club for a couple of swift halves to fortify the old grey matter.

Well, the first NESA Fly fishing comp/get together took place today in sweltering conditions at the Derwent Reservoir.

After a quick meet up in the car park, we paid our dues and headed off to fish our chosen marks.

The fishing was by no means easy an although the early morning mist offered some respite from the anticipated sunny conditions, it wasn't long before the mist burnt off and we were gradually cooked by the sun, high in the sky. I fished sinking line with lures to pick up my 3 fish, losing another 4 that managed to shake the hook.

I hope a good day was had by all, and hopefully more people will be able to attend the next one.

        Final Results

        Stu - 3 fish - 1lb 10oz, 1lb 4oz, 1lb 4oz
        Seddo - 2 fish - 1lb 8oz, 1lb 8oz
        Emma - 1 fish - 2lb
        John (Fishman) - 1 fish - 1lb 8oz
        Seddos Mate - 1 fish - 1lb 8oz

So, heaviest bag was won by me with 4lb 2oz and heaviest fish was won by my girlfriend Emma with a 2lb trout.

I'm sure everyone will pitch in with there own comments, and can I just say a big thanks to those that turned up - it was good to put names to faces.

        Cheers

        Stu
