  • Which fly waters are open at the moment?

    Is Sharpley open?

    Is it worth fishing Beamish?

    Anywhere else worth a go?

    Thanks in advance

Went fly fishing somewhere I've never been before, fishery manger was very helpful, took a chance with the mad winds but the venue had a number of good options. I would recommend this venue to anyone.

Knitlsley Mill Sless, my huff as finally gone. (too much ruby port last night)

Clear of weed - Reports in the book look good and fishable in very strong wind if you can pick your spot. Both fish I hooked and lost fought well, better than me! Didn't get too see the beggars though. I did catch a single fish scale though, honest, put it back of course. Their web info promises breakfast in with the price of your ticket, no evidence of it being on offer and I'm an englisher so said nowt, just quietly seethed inside for a while (2.5 hours)

Saw a robin, 2 deer, a grey squirrel and a couple of wild weardale folk

I think it's getting restocked today

                  ÂŁ15 sporting ticket
                  ÂŁ20 + 3 fish

Do you know how long it takes a single robin to eat a sheep?

Furthermore ........ Huuf Huff Bluster .. Have you seen the way a Robin kills a sheep....................It's horrific. They constantly remind sheep that it is christmas, now we all know turkeys get ett at christmas but sheep don't know that as they are Hannimals. Soo the sheep are afraid and gradula die through stress and get taken to the shops for sale.

Fished Hazon Burn at Shilbottle last Sunday.
Caught nowt, saw one fish rise the whole time (obviously still too cold). Enjoyed meself none the less. Gonna give the sea fishing the benefit of the doubt and fish this Sunday, but only because the sea is so good. If I blank again that's it........Til next time.
