    i was out the other night walking along the wear when i saw 2 otters which they seemed to have a small eel , its my first time ive seen them down here i normaly see otters up scotland when pike fishing,anybody else seen them,,,

    Funnily enough my father in law was talking about an otter he spotted in the Tyne last week ,looks like the rivers are getting a lot cleaner , oh it was near the King Edward bridge which is a fair way up river .
    You can take the lad out of Walker but .......

      never seen one around here mate,likewise only ever seen one in Scotland,think it was either Loch Ken or Clatteringshores in D&G

        i think the rivers are getting cleaner too , but what a great site to see, rather than go up scotland, there here on our own doorstep,,,

          There are otters, in the Tyne, Wear, Derwent and also Wideopen ponds and have been for many years now.
          If people think you are an idiot, why speak and remove all doubt !
