seeing as i'm on holiday i can't seem to stop myself fishing, it's getting costly now it being trout fishing thought. anyhoo i tried sweethope
loughs as it's one of the last places i'm to try around the north east. was told the small lake was pretty much the place to go if i were bank
fishing by the guy there. i walked round to see it was pretty shallow and most spots weeded up pretty bad. fished every fly under the sun but was very hard going,
2 lost fish one to a olive fritz and another on a buzzer. also lost about 3 flies to the weed. finally tempted one by popping a muddler past the face
of a rising fish.
think it's more of a boat fishing venue in the big lough so probably
won't fish the small lake again; probably only about 4-5 fishable spots.
think langley dam will be my new local from now on plenty of big fish
and a decent venue for bank fishing.
