  • Sharpley Tuesday 25th June.

Sorry lads, nearly forgot to let you know how it was fishing yesterday.
Got fishing about 2pm & conditions were near perfect. Could have done with a bit more Wind but the Sun stayed away most of the time & it was cock on for Surface stuff. Trouble was, no one told the bloody Trout.

Went on the doxy till Tea at 4.30pm & had one & lost one to a snap off on Olive Buzzers. Other than that, just a couple of nips.

Gary couldnt get one & everyone struggled. Very little Rising on there, but David Patterson had 4 on Olive Shuttlecocks at the top end. Nice to see you again David. Hope youre happy with the 525 m8.

After Tea, decided on the Hangmans where there was loads of Flys Hatching. Had immediate success with 4 in the Net in about 45 minutes. 1 on Olive Buzzer the rest on "F Fly"
Went quiet after that but still lots rising, bloody frustrating when its like that on there.

Went back to the doxy for the last half hour & had another off the top on Shuttlecock Emerger, again it was Olive !!!

David & myself ended on 6 each. Not a bad result in the end.

Havnt a bloody clue tbh Mick. I think presentation is more important than exactly matching the Hatch anyway.
I have always found that the more Flys that are Hatching, the harder it is to get them to take. But then again, i am a complete novice & am sure someone who actually knows what he is doing will think differently.
