I am looking for local ponds that provide a great days fishing. I usually fish angel of the north fidshing lakes but would love to find somewhere for a change. I used to fish boldon pond but its a waste of time now and the lakeside is fenced off. It is mainly somwhere to teach the wife how to float fish so someewhere with fish in would help lol

Leazes Park
Newcastle City Centre sandwiched in between the RVI and St James. You can fish it on a day ticket £5 per angler parking is an issue as the parking in the park is permit only if you travel light you might get parked close by.Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught

Originally posted by g.ordon View Postfunny yev mentioned that place mate, I was in rutherfords the day and a guy came in and asked if they did the tickets for there, yes £5. After a conversation with the staff about the venue the guy said one problem was that when you pulled a carp in there was loads of flashes of light from oriental ppl
Day ticket is dawn to dusk and a 2 rod limit park is patrolled by club bailiffs club rules are posted in a notice board so no excuses and you have to remember its not like other waters it a public park were extra care and patience is needed. Have been fishing the Leazes Park just over a year and really enjoy my time spent there.Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught
