Morrison's little fish

Was in Morrisons tonight. Went to see if they had any fresh sprats and saw a tray of dabs that just had to be under the size limit.



Take the head and tail off and your left with less than 6"
How in hell can they get away with this?
Personally I'd throw them back unless they approached a pound and a half, and there ain't many that size.

I caught a goodun 33cm and kept it lovely eating fish if big enough but them do look as if they should of been put back

There's no size limit for landing dabs...along with flounders, bream, mullet, dogfish, any of the rays, skate...there's actually quite a long list of fish that can be landed with no minimum size:
