Catch Report "Grace" evening session

There was a small window of opportunity last night before Wednesdays predicted Northerly so I gave it a go on the ground off the old Tynemouth swimming pool. Big Al came along and had a decent Cod first drop on a white muppet tipped off with prawn. We expected to be using a flowing trace but there was very little tidal drift and despite the breeze our lines were pretty much straight up/down. I picked up three more Cod using a twin tail fished "shad fashion" and another couple with a pirk. We called it a day at 8pm and ended up with seven Cod up to 5lb.

Nice one! better than we did up at Amble - cracking evening to be out. Yes, there was very little drift last night.....

Not a bad haul for a short session,things are looking up i guess.

well done-think i,m out again on the 22nd from Craster so any news of fish is better than nothing.
