  • Lazy Daze. At last, there's fish

Launched at 8am, and straight out to "me wreck". After a few drifts codling that went 3lb-2ozs then a couple of small scotchies and nothing more.
Tide now totally slack now so went to the yellow can, hoyed the hook out, boat just barely swinging round with the start of the flood when the rod went over. Champion, a fish about 2-1/2 lb, then the other rod bouncing about and another fish.

Fish now coming in fast, reeling one rod in as the other was dancing away.

Got good size scotchie, then another

Then as I was gutting the fish, just got sight of my rod butt lifting up on it's way over the side, few, just caught it, and it was a fish of 3lb-3ozs

    Sorry about the focus.
Anyway, ended up with 18 fish

The can area was very busy today

So to sum up, fished from 8am till 1pm on a glorious day, and a real pleasure to be out.
    P.B. Cod 30lb-11ozs Balcary.
