    after 4 trips with diddly squat,hope were high today,driven even higher when the first 2 drifts produced two keepable codlings with a couple missed also

    then went quiet for a good while,with an odd scotchie(not me) to break the bordom

    then disaster ME RODS OVER THE SIDE shouts quick as a flash jeff marks the spot on the plotter

    two drifts to try and pick up the rod failed but did produce 2 more codling to keep

    3rd drift one rod caught and returned to grateful owner

    wind was a pain today water non too clean

    baits were prawn mussel squid ragworm mackarel

    What happened like Duncan ? Was he fast on the wreck or was it a fish ?

      An eventful day there Dunc I thought for a moment that Ruby had gone forever, then realised it was someone else's rod...

        david havent got a clue,we didnt do any wrecks definately not a fish ,the lad himself didnt really know

              Some excitement then Duncan, couple of keepers and the safe return of a rod overboard. Quick thinking by Jeff I would think most boat anglers have lost, or nearly lost a rod by just taking your eyes of it for a second
