What a lovely sunny day. Sadly, the forecast for light SW winds was wrong and we had brisk SE winds which kicked up an uncomfortable chop. With big tides this weekend it was quite hard work at times.
We went north again, off Boulmer, and though we were catching steadily, there was nothing of any great size, with most fish under 2lb. Most fish were in 20-25feet of water, and often close to shore. The Mackie were big though, and attached the lures savagely.
Short report this week. Some 20+ codling, a couple of Pollack and about 15 coalies up to 1.5lb. By all accounts, this was similar to what others have been getting this weekend.
Fingers crossed for next weekend
