Once again the exceptionally hot weather provided the perfect environment to enjoy a few hours on the water.

Letting the breeze push me south I was plugging away hoping for a decent Cod, but given the season I would also be happy if the odd Mackerel came along, and it did.

Typical of late, the only cod showing were just too small. That was until this lovely plump specimen showed up.

Although it ended up the only Cod I took home,

my scales suggested it was just over 3.5kg (not sure what that equates to in pounds and ounces) But either way, I was happy with that!!

Oh well I am well chuffed with that Alan. Especially as so far this year there seems to be a lot of small cod about and not so many decent ones.
