I was on holiday with the Mrs and no kids having quality time but managed to squeeze a fishing trip in without too much begging and grovelling!
I headed off with Captain Bobbi and his deck hand Francis on their small cat.
Bobbi assured me that we had a good chance of a billfish but otherwise we would definitely catch. I am always a bit sceptical but on this occasion I was well and truly wrong.
We had two treble hook ups and numerous double and single hook ups to surface poppers and shallow diving rapala's.
I can honestly say it was one of my best ever fishing days and one I will never forget. I lost count of the number of tuna we landed along with one Mahe Mahe and one member of the barracuda family. The biggest Tuna was small in Wicked Tuna comparison at just over 9kg but didn't half pull on the line and make some amazing runs.
I have still got blisters on my reeling in hand as testament to how good the fishing was!
The Seychelles are breathtaking and I can't wait to get back there and fishing.
One boat trolling the same bank hit into a Marlin that went airborne loads of times very close to us before unfortunately throwing the hook.
The photo on the beach is only a few of the fish we had with a lot more being returned.
Change of scenery next week and on the ground and wrecks out of Amble on Black Betty.
Graham.
