                A great result there saphire

Its even better to see top quality fish in the north east at this time of year from the boats and shows what is possible

Hopefully it will spur more lads to have a go in winter and keep all you charters full all year round

Just spoke to the lad he was using light tackle which made the fishing all the better
Alan i have being doing this sort of fishing for over 20 years now there is fantastic sport to be had fishing at ankhor during the winter months its great to see other boats doing and getting some excellent results it i think it will catch on more and more.

Totally agree Paul, its a great way to fish.

Its great to drop the anchor and sit back listen to the radio and have the crack, cuppa coffee and a bad boy.............

It get nippy now and again but we fish all year round and always have, i wouldn't dream of wintering the boat up.

Its 8-10 yearas ago when the last fish of that size was caught uptiding as it is mentioned in the run up to the uptidng festival in august.
