I must begin by apologising for the quality of the photo's, however everything else today proved to be just perfect. infact the sea looked so calm it was like being on a lake.

My aim was to catch cod and very shortly a little tommy showed up to suggest they were there.
[IMG][/IMG]
Then along came another
[IMG][/IMG]
Both were carefully returned to grow a bit. Just as I started to wonder if the small sizes were all that would be on offer a decent 21/2lb showed up.
[IMG][/IMG]
Then, happy supper was sorted I was pleasantly surprised to take my first mackerel of the year.
[IMG][/IMG]
Daylights quickly suspended above the twintail and it was game on.
I was joined by John, another kayak fisherman who also began to enjoy the seasonal harvest. (again sorry for the photo)
[IMG][/IMG]
It ended that the perfect sea for a kayak was complimented by a few Mackerel and a brace of cod. The biggest of which came in at just over 5lb
