    well

moaning helped (see my last post )

This time, we seemed to be lucky from beginning to end. Chosen not to do the morning but rather the afternoon.

My game plan was a particular wreck at 7 nm, where we fished last Saturday...catching ling....and only left because of pitch darkness.

out with Ivan into a snotty sea... first stocking up with Mackerel...well, as always Ivan only fished for mackerel, his favourite fish. I believe the builder bucket and a half were full at the end, so he filleted around 150!

as I am a hardrock-wrecker, I moved straight to my target. I lowered my specific "ling-rig"---yes, I consider myself a ling expert.... and NOWT!

That was at the last bit of the flood tide.

I then regretfully changed to a more accomplished rig...which caught last week...the luminous hokkais baited with mackerel...and....and...and....GUESS:

BangBangBang: from that point (also the tide now gently moved us 0.2kn) north, I got a ling per drop...I never waited longer than 2 minutes, loads of aggresive bites, re-bites and hookups.

Ivan fished for mackerels until he felt a bit grotty....he thinks hungover.......

I had within no time 10 ling in the bucket and at least a couple over 10lb.

I could have caught on, but a.I didnt want to keep more and B: I dont like taking too much from the resource of nature and ling doesnt really go back well...I also was exhausted...yes....I cannot believe I am saying that.

also Ivan did not feel well....altogether reason to venture home and come back another day.

    Summary: Excellent

The only thing that I find bothering is, that my friends from Germany did not do well on the wrecks for an entire week and only 3 days after they left, the ling are totally on fire. I would have loved them and especially 14y old Timmy to experience a ling fiesta like that.....I hear everyone thinking: Well....thats fishing

Winge winge winge... Never happy, even when catching... 'I was knackered...'

Haha. Just joking mate! Well done on the fish. I've struggled the last few sessions on the boat but your report has made me think the fishing might be finally picking up a bit. Well done
