me and my mate decided to get out for half a day this morning from the marina at h'pool we set out at about 8.30 there was quite a heavy swell and we were not sure about going so I said we will see what it's like further out. It was improving so I said I will try a wreck just three miles out after a few drifts we finally tempted a nice cod of about 5lb followed by a couple more in the 7lb range.loads of mackies we stayed on it a couple of hours and it eventually went quiet so we decided to go into the scars for the last hpur where I picked up another nice cod. We ended up with half a dozen very nice cod and a bundle of Mackie. the sea was coming away so we called it a day at 12.30.
