Out today, Sunday, 18/6 .... the weather was cracking, very little wind and red hot,
unfortunately the fishing wasn't,,launched from the Boat House W/Bay at approx 9.am, We chugged out to about a mile off St Marys lighthouse, 5 boats with about 12 of us on-board,
we all struggled to find any fish for the annual competition ,£5.00 a man , heaviest takes all
scratting around all over the the place,
talking to the other lads and boats we all seemed to have the same problem, loads of
very small cod, and the odd mackerel,, I managed to Winkle a canny Cod out of it,, 4 ish pound, the next cod was weighed in at approx 2 lb , so my fish was the heaviest caught ,over
5 hours fishing,,, a bit **** poor for what appeared to be exultant conditions,, managed to
win 60 beer tokens, so not to bad a result for me,

better than sitting in the house m8, at least you had a line in the water. am just waiting for the phone call to head up to amble mariner.

Know what you mean, when the sea is that flat, expectations are high, but dead tides don't help the cause, but anything is better than a blank
