Well lads had our last club trip out with Douggie. Looked promising but turned out hard work. Doug tried his socks off to find us some fish and put us over a wreck and my mate Kev caught a 9lb 2 oz Cod on a ripper pirk baited with squid. As to fish caught through the day there was about a dozen cod from ten of us keeper size. Couple of Pouting, couple of mackeral and one Wrasse.
Most of the lads had bait consisting of worm and mussle and they scored some nice Coalie. I would say a dozen caught. I ended up with two size codling and one Coalie caught on daylights.Shads were a complete failure.
On our return Doug was kind enough to give us all a couple of crabs which were lovely.
Cheers Doug and his two lads for a very enjoyable season.
    Tight lines Mick.
