Thanks, i would say joining this forum will be the best thing i've done about boat fishing. The plan is if all three of us are enjoying it we're going thirds in a little boat of our own, so there will be plenty of questions i'll be firing out to you lads

Seems like its open season on charter skippers this year, if folks aren't taking bin bags full of cod home they are not happy and seem to want so start a flame war from the comfort and anonymous safety of their arm chairs

I've known ken/diablo for years, unless he's sold the boat in the last few months I would trust him completely as far as safety is concerned, and when not fishing he spends a lot of time doing survey work for UKHO among others so knows how and where to find marks

the boat was moved to hartlepool from the tyne as that is where he was living for a while

if you really thought something was a miss why did you not bring it up at the time?

If he had someone else skippering the boat on the day contact ken directly - his number and email is on his website

charter skippers are trying to run a business, I wonder how long it will be before one of them goes legal on some of the damaging remarks that are directed at them and their businesses. publicly accusing them of 'ripping people off' could be an expensive excercise

Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.

I am surprised by your coments,it would appear that you are unsure who runs the boat now,i am surprised that you mention the legal side (slander). This is a forum for members to pass information among themselves, non of the facts has been refuted or denied leaving me able to form only one opinion,it is perhaps you who needs to be careful with your (unsure who, what or where opinion) adding fuel to a major blaze.I am sure all members on this forum would welcome the input of the skipper(whoever that is) the lack of any contact can again lead one to only one conclusion.
In closing this unecessary post, perhaps before you suggest legal implications you should check your facts first.
