bad crack when your party dont show
        name and shame them
pleased to see your keeping inside the legal limit of your 20 mile peter
think theres more fish in shore than off shore at the moment (plenty of feed )

            what a poisoneous little comment.

I dont think any of the Hartlepool/Sunderland or Tyne based skippers ever goes past 20 miles! Only the Whitby guys do it.

Peter, I would not name and shame and I would not take deposits from everybody.

            What would I do:

A: Get a phone call from everyone the evening before (discussing weather etc)

B: Have a list of people who have ditched you and require a deposit, if they want to come again (paypal)

C: Have a list with customers, who can come short notice, even in the morning and take them for a cheaper prize for example

good report, on the fish again peter m8, keep it going,

there`s been a problem with people droppin skippers in it for years, and there alway`s will be.
a had to drop out of a trip lately, for a hospital appointment, a wen`t and offered the lad who organised the trip my cost, and he would`nt have it, but a offered.

a do feel for you lads, as it`s your living, other than take deposit`s, a would`nt know how to get around this.

fact not fiction ,if a skipper is not licensed to go past the 20 mile mark he stays in side, also think you will find a lot of skippers stay within the 20 mile as thats what there licence allows ,and most the fish are within the 20 mile mark unless you know something different (think not)got to laugh at these guys can we go on the graveyard, why its not the right conditions the drift will be too fast ,its too lumpy, most the fish are closer in so after the steam out there no fish ,lads moaning ect ,as always Kartonkel, you speak out again ,how many boat trips you had out this month NOT MANY I BET

I had 3 boat trips in the last 7 days.

I thought you threw your rule book away after you embarrassed yourself in the Sapphire saga and apologised for it ?!

                      "SAPPHIRE" Chartered Fishing Boat, Sunderland,

I would just like to say it"s not up to anyone on this site to remind skippers on how far they can go out ? Now as for dep the angler will have 5 days from the day of call to send a dep if not recived he will lose the date he ask for, then its there money they loseing and not the skippers,

Used to fish out of Whitby years ago, when the fish seemed to be plentiful.
My mate who was organiser, would take a tenner from each of us (six including
himself),and send a cheque to the skipper as a deposit. These were party trips,so the boat was ours for the day,at a cost of 180 quid,so if anyone cried
off,it cost each of us a little more, the upside being more space. The skipper
always got paid regardless, which we all agreed was fair.If the weather was
particularly inclement on the day,or at least forecast to be,the skipper would
keep the deposit for our next trip out,and for the couple of years i fished on this
boat, everyone got on famously.I don't know if less people go out now,so you
need to cater for individual anglers, but as i say,if you party book a boat, you
should see less of this type of problem.
