    With the great forecast and a break in lectures for me it was off and out of the piers for half one.

    The conditions were fantastic and it was fingers crosed the fishing would be equally good. The water was still very coloured up to about four miles off and the first wreck was a blank! We had already deceided to try a fair few wrecks we hadn't fished before to scope them out and get the last hours on the engine before the service.
    It wasn't long before we were into fish!

    There were some whopping mackeral out there with Micky taking this one on a pirk!

    A load of firsts today and I christened the boat with the first ever stunt poo!

    Not a pretty site. I said site!
    We ended up digging in on a couple of wrecks but it was for very short spells before the wreck switched off again.

    I had my biggest ever poddler as well which I was chuffed with, again to a pirk;

    A photo of Kevin and his mate on Wor Lass on the way back in;

    Some others I took on the way in and back on the berth:

    All in all a great afternoon and I was knackered last night hence the late report. The fishing was so so, compared to the weekend anyway, we kind of expected it as fishing a new port is always a learning curve and we are definetly still learning the Tyne. Can't wait to get back out there, engine service is booked for Friday afternoon.

    Graham.

    Well done Graham, you and Micky did well to find the fish on a quiet day. Here’s a photo that Steve took from our side, the others were blurred with moving too much as we bounced back in.

      Nice one lads!

      LMAO at the stunt, I was bursting all day but I'm too refined to attempt such a stunt.

      It sounds like the fishing was slow for everyone, I think we need a good spell of decent weather for everything to spring in to action, it might be next season at this rate.
      Cheers, Keith.

            When a man has to go, a man has to go , That's a big mackerel , you'd be wondering what the hell had hold of your line if a full string of them took hold
            Great read as usual , hope the lift and service goes well and the weather turns good afterwards so we can read some more

              The fishing was a bit slow and I think in total we had about 12 cod so can't complain,and a few other bits and pieces. The forecast looks to be moderating for Sunday but it's a no go for me as I am at the chilli peppers concert. Monday or Tuesday fingers crossed!

                With the early starts, that bogs gonna see some action over next few months.
