Well done on your catch mate but I would like to let you know that a certain angling body from a magazine is slating this report and north east anglers on general as none of us practice catch and release allegedly.now why not comment on this forum with your views if it bothers you that much mate ??

And to label all north east anglers under that heading is wrong.
I also seem to remember reading reports from Mick where fish were released, BA carpark club comps & Norway spring to mind, which makes it even more unfair.
Can't see his opinions doing much good for Sea Angler sales in this area.

Thanks lads. Don,t know where this thing has came from about keeping all your catch.
I do know i return many fish. I wont even go in for the heaviest bag for this reason. I took home ten Cod (bear in mind i blanked on them a week ago). All filleted and frozen down. Gave a couple to my neighbour who was over the moon and i will have the rest. I released a few smaller ones which swam off.
Over the year i have kept 10 cod and a couple in Norway which we had for meals. Its now late May so i have kept 2 fish a month. I released dozens back in Norway.
