Well lads we got out on our first trip today.Things looked spot on. Flat seas and sun shining-mind there was a chill wind. Hows this for parking near the boat.

10 of us set out with Andrew-Douggies son and after 8hrs i caught one fish. A baby ling. New species for me but i have lost my card so will have to sort another.Caught on a rhubarb shad.ps Ed do u recognise your ball wieght--top dollar.

Pierro my mate fared no better. He got a small Ling which he forgot to photograph for hs species hunt and a codling which was destined for the pan.

All in all a very poor day and very poor catch report. Best angler got 7 keeper Codling. Some lads BLANKED. baited daylights caught most Codling. I would say boat had no more than 20 fish. Still nce to be out with some lovely views.. Oh and i did,nt spew ha ha.
    Tight lines Mick.

Shame it was slow Mick, still needs 2-3 weeks up there yet, but the pics are good. I may be out from there in a couple of weeks with a couple of mates, if there's any spaces on the boat, hope it's picked up a bit by then.

Nice one Mick. I like the baby ling picture, it still looks like a hard bugger chewing on the shad.

Mick, Spoke to Dougie several times over this long and boring post op recuperation period. Dougie's bought the new boat for you and I. There's two bunks up the front for when we start yacking up. Roll on July for my first trip out. Mind you the bunks are one each I'm not sharing
