  • 5 x PB's What a Fab day

After drifting the seas the other day with Mark, we decided to meet up again and give Roker another try. From the off everything looked perfect

and once we got out there the sea and the weather did not disappoint.

Pretty soon Mark was into his first PB when he landed a very impressive 7.25lb Pollock

not long after that Mark hit another PB species wise with a beautiful Wrasse

Happy to get something on board I then managed a welcome cod which was somewhere in the region of 2.5lb

Then after another couple of small cod I was thrilled to equal my previous PB with another 8.5lber.

Mark then caught yet another PB by bringing in his first little Pouting. (sorry photo blurred)

However, it during our last ditch attempt for one more that Mark managed to land his biggest PB with a lovely 9.5lb cod.
So although I was thrilled to match my previous PB with this 8.5lb cod.

The winner of the day was certainly Mark with these two beautiful specimens.

    Well done that man.

Hoping to do a bit more lure jigging yet Jeff. as you say we haven't had a straight forward season so far. the cod are there but it's hitty missy. But when you do catch them their belly's suggest they are eating anything from small crabs to small fish. So I think lures are still in with a chance up to now.

Its a drysuit Tony , waterproof , windproof and breathable however only as warm as the layers you wear underneath . Like the look of the hood on this one , don't know the make could find out . Its a typhoon ps 3000 good feedback from people who have it . Hardwearing, hinged and easy to get on/off .
