Following our great start last weekend, expectations were high as we left the Tyne at 7.30am in a thick fog. Visibility was deteriorting and common sense told us that we should turn back given we were 100% relying on our on-board instruments.
However, the flask and sandwiches were up and we had stayed off the beer on Friday night (except Davy) so we decided to crack on.
Wrecking in the shipping lanes was never an option in the fog so we kept close to home but I confess we've had better days. We tried everything but the fish just weren't up for it and we ended the day with only half a dozen Cod to 4lb.
A great day out in good company but one to forget as a catching day.
