  • Same but Hotter

At the risk of repeating an earlier post - I had a spare few hours today between working my nightshifts so I opted for the easy launch, and headed out of Roker. At first the sea was extremely lumpy with quite a disturbing swell.

In fact it became so unpredictable that I decided to head back into the safer waters of the harbour.

It was there that I met Damean. He had also decided it was safer to have a dabble inside the harbour.

however, after an hour or so things started to settle so we were able to get back out there
    [IMG][/IMG]
and pretty soon we were into Mackerel and enjoying every minute.

Despite the fact that my catch for the day was the same as last time and only Mackerel,

the warm breeze and hot sun meant it was an absolutely cracking day to be messing around on the water. Especially as just like last time the dolphins made a show. Flaming June, what about flaming September. Flipping Unbelievable.

Your not wrong there Jeff. Truth is the freezer drawer dedicated to winter bait is full. The only reason I bother to bring some Mackerel away now is to give to the neighbours that are asking for it. That said, catching Macky from the kayak is just too much fun to miss.
