Again, with another good forecast, headed out to the wrecks within 1 mile of the Tyne. Started off catching some mackerel again, then bait fishing the wrecks. Was just out on my own this time. Things were a bit slower than Monday, but eventually connecting with a few hard fighting cod up to about 6lb.
Kept moving from wreck to wreck, most of them produced a couple of fish.
What a beautiful day it was out there. Soon it was time to head back in, so headed to Tynemouth hard ground close in, chucked the anchor out, put a couple of baits down, and proceeded to fillet the fish, but never really got started as the rod started banging over, again with really hard fighting fish.
So to sum up........It's great being retired
