  • First Trip

This was the first trip out to sea for us on our new boat so the trip out was really just about getting a feel for the boat hence the lack of bait and any sort of preparation for catching fish.We headed towards the Can from the Tyne to give the boat a decent run out and within the first ten minutes arriving at the Can Paul landed the first fish on the boat for a new crew on our maiden voyage the first fish being about 3lb the weather was cracking and wish every weekend could be the same as the sea conditions were superb. we headed back from the Can dropping off at a couple of spots heading through the piers some four hours later we ended up with 7 keepers around the 3lb size. It was just really good to test the boat and to get used to her. wetting a line was a bonus especially ending with a couple of fish suppers. Sorry no photos this trip we were to excited getting used to the boat but hopefully next trip.

Great stuff Howard, a few fish on the maiden voyage can't be bad.
    Cheers, Keith.
