Well after what seems ages since our last report. Our first catch report of the season and it's the back end of May 😦.

Late start for us this year to get a few little jobs done. Here's a few pics of the works. A oil leek to fix on the engine, new carpet in wheelhouse, all filters changed, a clean in the engine bay and just the normal clean.

Time for the fishing after 5 weeks on the hard stand.

Seven of us headed out for the first trip of the year. Out of the piers for about 430ish.



Kenny had beat us out there





Stopped off at the pier triangle and picked codlings up from the off!



It wasn't long before we had too get the second cooler box out.



Left the inshore wrecks in search of a bit more quality fish. Which ended up us only taking the odd fish off the odd wreck some of the wrecks producing nothing!

Ended the day with about 30 cod to 6lb and half a dozen ling. Chucked a few smaller codlings back.

Hopefully these northerlys bugger off and the fishing improves.

Fingers crossed for the weekend.

That's a good session Stephen. A 4:30 start is almost as bad as Norman's, the things you'll do to get to the pub early.
