went out on a "fund raiser" with the lunatic fishing group(facebook)

off at 5pm,nice bit of sun, which was to leave us later and be replaced by heavy drizzle, there was a bit wind which ruffled the sea but wasnt too bad in shore.by the time we came in 10 30 the wind had gone and the sea was calm. Oh nearly forgot the fishing

fished a mix of ground and inshore wrecks, water was not too murky.baits of all sorts were used squid makki bluey, sure i saw some "cart"--lures were rippers,shads--shads piggy backed with bait, hokki the noos daylites--you name it was tried, and canny bit of it lost too

the two best fish came in around 4/5lb but sadly there wasnt very many fish caught.

the skipper and boat fit nicely into the "nice boats and skippers that try" category. skipper was there soon as you were snagged/tangled or with the gaff just in case!!!

so!!!! thanks very much colin graham for your efforts and to steve tate for organising the trip.was good to meet a few new people too.

in summary i have had worse trips thats for sure

sounds exactly like my short evening trip yesterday on my boat!

Lovely evening but not many fish. Somehow managed an 8 pounder cod on a shad though.

didnt see you though...you must have gone North...
