Had goodrun out Friday , headed south at first off Whitburn ( never seen as many nets out !) fished few wrecks but not much about . Relocated North and ended up with about 8 with 5 keepers .All fish fresh run but looked a bit underfed to be honest , all full of crab . Tried to get out today but turned back , Slinky Kate pirks did the damage along with Hokkai's .

You must have put some miles in looking for the fish, Dave. Well done on persisting to find some keepers.

It's interesting to read that there wasn't much around south of the river. I had a few hours out yesterday at Cullercoats and StMary's. Fishing was steady at first with small codling then it went dead when the tide turned. Water clarity there was improving but the May bloom has arrived and the water carrying a lot of algae.
