    had a cracking day headed out of piers about eight am hit a few close in wrecks picking odd codling up 2t3lbs then hit the mackeral it was non stop action we then decided to go to a wreck following a text off a mate who done well last week we were straight into codling it was all go for about three hours its hard work pulling fish up from 120foot of water for three hours my arms were dead fish were between 4 and 6lb then as the tide started slowing so did the fish but mackeral were still there in numbers we headed towards piers picking up a couple more codling weather wise it was a cracking day lost count of cod whiting there was four of us on boat with grins like chesire cats cheers for the text out again tomorrow with the brady bunch (kids) so wont be going far

        “Grins like Cheshire cats” that’s the measure of a good day out far more than a big box of fish. Well done on both. Whereabouts were you, I was fishing off Tynemouth and Whitley over the wrecks in similar depths?
