1 day off work and decided to play in the boat, but nature wasn't playing ball today, we were in the water for 7-30am and headed out......

the sea state was lumpy to say the least but we carried on regardless, we were going to target some rough ground and wrecks 10-15m off but with the sea being crap decided to have a run north and play "lets see what happens"

    stopped for some bait.....macky-a-plenty

targeted a wreck about 8m, set the drift up and banged into a few codling ..but nothing of the size we were after today so after a few drifts losing most of our gear and getting slung from one side of the boat to the other, decided to call it a day about 1 ish, returned most of the fish....kept 2 codling and a few macky and headed glumly back in...

not the requisite 15lb +...... so kept it as a pet

once back in the bay calmer water....

me seat was great... shame todays fishing wasn't

Good try though Rob, just need the sea to settle down for a few days, then i'm sure things will pick up. What was your best fish....

It's hard work when the sea is like that innit , hard lines catching it like that on your one day off , nevr mind , there's always next time (and I bet you still preferred it to work )
