A few seasons ago we adopted the policy of "enough is enough" and when the fish box is full, everything we catch thereafter goes back irrespective of size. We headed North East and fished three wrecks but by lunchtime we were throwing back prime Ling into double figures, Cod up to 10lb and the odd Pollock. Conditions were not ideal, the sea was lumpy, the drift was quick and it was hard work but the fish grabbed anything that came their way with shads doing most of the damage. We kept about 30 Cod, Ling and Pollock but I estimate we caught close to 100 fish in total.
