set off from the tyne aboard jenny m at about 8 o clock. lovely day with near perfect conditions. not long after going over the bar my mate noticed we had a bit of trouble with one of the injectors on the engine which after a little bit of tinkering he managed to sort out. we were in two minds whether to stay out or not incase of trouble later in the day but opted on staying fairly close in about a mile to a mile and a half off the tyne just incase we needed any assistance. first drift we loaded up with mackerel with full houses all round for the four of us for about 20 mins. after that we changed to shads and muppets to try and get through the little blighters lol. there were a few cod around and between the four of us we must of landed about 60. nothing big round about 2-5lb mark. we kept about 20 and the rest went back. i was looking at getting a big one but it didnt happen. i did hook into something nice but it jumped off about half way up. so no massive fish just a canny day out in lovely conditions and very burnt shoulders to boot and the engine held up to which was a bonus.
