A long day, registered 6am and saw mr lingking who didn't give anything away! and headed about 5 mile to first wreck.Met the lads on Wicked Jack there but not a lot doing. This was to be the theme for most of the day, suprising when you read the reports from the Tyne lads. Fish came in slowly but nothing special.Skipper Michael was using a flowing trace on a pulley rig and snapped the hook, tied a redgill on that worked, so I had to copy and put an afterburner redgill and don't you know a 12lb pollack.Artificials did better than bait.Came close in near the end of comp to troll but the water had gone really dirty from the big northerly swell, managed a few 3-4lb pollack but nowt decent. All 4 of us on the boat won a prize so it turned out a good day and a well run event (thanks Norma and team) and a good presentation at the Schooner.I ended up 2nd to Jeff on the Warlord (ling 14lb 8oz) but can't complain!
