Planned with deano to get away earlyish this morning, was still quite a strong westerly wind, which wasnt good as the tides are still big, but we headed out anyway.
First wreck , drift was massive and before we could hit bottom we had drifted 30-40 feet with a big lead on, so decided to head onto a bigger wreck.
My first 3 drops resulted in 3 hook ups with the wreck, was getting a bit cheesed off by this stage, then popped a ring off me rod, felt like coming in, but plodded on anyway.
Fishing was very very slow, we had fish marked on the bottom, but they were not feeding.
We did manage to winkle a few fish out, but compared to previous trips its was way below par.
Final result 13 codling, biggest again to Deano another doubler 12lb, rest were around 3-4 lb, 1 ling 6lb, a coalie of 2lb and 30+ mackerel.
My mrs is due to drop now so this will be my last trip till she has the baby, sooner rather than later i hope.
