Well firstly apologies for no pics, left my phone in the car both trips. Not there has been anything worth photographing.
Myself and my mate Rich decided to take our lasses out yesterday for a bit of easy going fishing, got out to what I class as a "classic sea sickness sea" - a smooth sea with a moderate lazy swell. Yep, within an hour I had to drop Jo and Steph off back at the marina as they were both hoying up!
Anyway, me and rich went back out for a couple of hours, tried two wrecks and got two cod for our efforts. Very disappointing.

Took my mate Hodge out for a few hours today. After sitting in the harbour area for 20mins deciding whether or not to venture out through the beakers at the mouth of the pier, we made the decision and got out unscathed.
We were met with a very large swell and headed out opposite the lighthouse. We were into mackerel from the off, I was pleased as Hodge isn't really a fishing lad so I was happy to see him pull in a few fish. We then went to a 4 mile wreck and got nothing - again!
So we headed to the back of the island for half an hour before the sea got, to say the least uncomfortable and a thunder storm began. So around 5.30 we got back to the marina.
All in all two poor days fishing, nice to be out but not a lot doing. Is it just me or has anybody else fishing up that way noticed a distinct lack of cod?
Tight lines.
Cheers.
