Woke up at 4 am and decided to go fishing , to cut a short story even shorter it was a bit bumpy it was faster coming down the drift than it was motoring back up it and getting a line down to a wreck with any sort of accuracy took a degree of military planning
I caught a few fish but it was hard work , the first wreck I visited produced nothing at all , the second produced a single cod and a plague of coalies and I was 7 miles off before I found a wreck with a good head of cod , they were actually sitting in the scour a bit behind the wreck and if I missed the scour on the drift I didn't catch . I winkled half a dozen or so out before it went quiet and then had a decision to make , head for home now and catch some water over the cill or stay out for another four hours until the tide was on it's way back up
"Always tomorrow" I thought , and made the journey back in , not the best of conditions , but a few fish and a visit from the now familiar dolphins made it a worthwile day out , looking forward to a nice flat one with small tides and friendly wind direction now
