no longer a shad virgin

after a couple of unsuccesful attempts with shads i was on the verge of giving up. i was beginning to believe that there was a massive conspiracy where people weren't getting fish on shads but were telling me they were and laughing at my attempts. but laugh no more, with a steady stream of cod coming in on worlass last night I once again attached a rhubarb and custard shad and wallop, a fish within seconds which gave a great account of itself on light gear. So now i'm converted and can't wait to get out and try it again.
overall last night was canny with a few cod to 5lb coming up but suprisingly no ling and no mackies despite trailing daylights for an hour over a half a dozen drifts. no pics tonight as i left my camera at work but overall another great evening.

i remember the lads laughing at me on the boat when i first attempted shads...one 7lb cod later and many many more ..soon shut them up, welcome to the world of shadding the most expensive fishing hobbie ever lol
