Firstly apologies for no photos, dead batteries launched at marsden this afternoon, bit of a breeze from the south which created a nasty bit of chop on the water against the tide. Didnt have a load of time, so decided to head straight out to a wreck of souter. Fantastic! nearly every drift a couple of cod! Only going by gps co/ords the fish kept coming thick and fast, all fish seemed to be exactly the same size at around 4lb with one better at about 7lb, did lose a good fish, that a couldnt bring up on my light kit, which eventually snagged up! also the wind seemed to have eased the further out you were.
Slowly the fish stopped biting, and it was time to head into a cove for a filleting sesion Ended up with 14 nice cod and 3 mackeral. All fish fell to either the speed jig or the shad tied of it.
Thats me off to ibiza tommorow, hopefully get back into the cod when I get back.
Cheers
