    Well it was a great day to be at sea today, one of the ones where I love my job and the leave associated with it rather than a monday to friday one.

    On arrival at the marina it was still a bit blustery but after motoring down to the chosen marks the weather just got better all day, resulting in a sunburnt napper for me!
    First drift and I had a go with the mackeral feathers and it resulted in this one:


    The cod kept coming today before slack water and the biggest of the day fell to myself at just over 8lb;

    The smallest fish of the day also fell to me on a small orange sidewinder!


    After slack water the fishing was patchy and not like monday where it took off again. Looking at the forecast it's no-go until monday for me now!
    A bit of shore fishing with the kids at Warkworth beach tomorrow night!

    well done on the catch,looking at the photos you certainly wouldnt think it was the north sea!
