Was up early, but my mate slept in a bit so never left the house till 7am, and didnt have a line wet until 8am.
My mate is a novice boat angler so he instructed me not to venture too far in case he felt a bit sick, luckily he was fine even though there was a a bit of a swell when we first went out.
Fished mainly hard ground marks with only 1 wreck visited, picked up a very respectable 25 codling keepers and a few size fish which we returned. Also had around 2 dozen tigers, all though we were not really targeting them.
Had a few codling around the 7-8 lb mark a few around 4 lb, and the majority were 2-3lb, biggest fish of the day was a ling of 9lb.

Fish were taken on a variety of lures. Weather was very changeable with sunny 1 minute then peeing down the next, with squalls so a bit of everything.

Anyhow an enjoyable day regardless of the weather.

Just goes to show, you don't have to be up at the crack of dawn to get a decent haul of fish, including some nice size ones. Good result lads, plus, keeping busy helps avoid the seasickness.
