Been 2 weeks with out full day at sea so had planned to keep the oil companys in the green today and burn some juice. Myself Adam and Jason set off at 7am into a smooth sea.

Set set about close in but not much doing at all with just 1 codlign and few coalie so we set about a few 4-5 mile wrecks, once again poor with only 2 more colding so i set off much further out. After a good steam out we hit a wreck and Adam got what was the best fish of the day a pollack of 8lb, followed by a couple of ling and codling to me and Jason.

We had been lucky with showers but one caught up with us and it lashed it down, bouncing off the boat.

We plugged away fishing many wrecks and taken 1 or 2 off each wreck but not alive with fish, we started to moan abit about the lack of fish then a quick count up and we realsied we had 24 and to be fair 2 years ago this would of been a good day..shows we have been spoilt.

We also hit many coalie, pouting etc but after trying for mackerel at every spot we stopped at we got a grand total of none thats 1-11 mile out.

So we headed back in with a canny day but large tackle loses today for some reason and the drift was canny with little wind all day. Glad to say i was off fillet duty today and Jason finished the few we decided to keep.

We kept away from the rough ground spots today in favour for the wrecks and thou it never went to plan it was a good dayout with everyone catching cod and ling.

Not a bad day the sea looks like there is some vis, things settling down.
