well today was a bit of a special one had a look at the water at 8am and it looked like a pond so rang my brother to make sure we were still on for the day he just laughed and said ofcourse ive even got a brand new rod and reel to christen
so at 9am we headed to sunderland marina and began out 20 mintute steam to our choosen wreck first drop down my rod buckled a good fish i thought to myself my brother laughed then his rod buckled he said i think i have 2 or 3 on here
anyway mine went a bit lighter got it to the top a nice 5lb cod champion i thought then my brothers fish started to show i looked down at it and thought i was in norway or somewhere this cod was massive safetly managed to get it a board
he looked at me and said is that really a cod i couldnt answer him as i was speachless anyway the next drop resulted in another 5lb cod then a nice 9lb ling surfaced the drop after i kept getting fish nearly almost every drift smallest about 4lb
the biggest around 9lb at 2:30pm we had a full box so headed back in with a flock of massive gulls behind us it felt like a summers day on the way back we called into north east tackle where gary kindly weighed the fish it was 18lb 3 quaters on the
scales i recon when it was first caught about 6 hours earlyer it was an easy 20lb well what more can i say what a day here is a few pics of the best days fishing this year
