well here we go my first report for a few years was on me fav boat on tuesday and what a cracker it was headed down to the pool slightly later than expected due to someone sleeping in might have been me (damn Taiwan alarm clocks) 
got down at 7 45 to a full boat and off we went to really flat seas nice as soon as we stopped straight into the fish was non stop and then it was whitey season couldn't get past the little gets they were like a swarm nice size as well but after about 10 minutes they get boring 
so we had a move and next stop straight in again to the fish some lovely cod and some good size coalies coming in tho to be fair me pops seemed to be the only one catching the coalies and yup all day he kept catching them sea rats(mackerel) we stayed on the wreck as we had no drift due to no wind and glorious sunshine, by 12 it was like we had been out all day every basket was full and a whole lot going back to catch next year so we headed to the hard ground and yipee i had a first, a red gurnard about 2 mins after the lad next to me got one, would say it was a good size but no it just came out the egg but its a first i do have a piccy (only one i got all day phone playing up) then i went a bit quiet for me everyone else was catching i wasn't, have to say i was on board with some amazing fisherman was a joy to watch and didn't make me jealous at all 
so i decided to change rigs on to the muppets i went and bang had a 10 lb ling very well guessed on the weight by simon next to me and still the fish came in everyone catching and then the best bit i had a bit of a fight on thought i might of hit a pollack until it got half way up and realised it was a gorgeous haddock about 4ibs love them fish brought it over the top of the boat and then me pops said oops son ive got one and yup another haddock was in and then another on the other side of the boat all in all 4 haddock came in not bad in one sitting so in we went after what was an amazing day fish all over the place a new species for me all down to the best skip you can ask for berney your a star
